Start your morning with Sadhana at Yoga West, located at 1535 S. Robertson Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90035. Sadhana begins at 3:40 a.m. with the Sikh prayer Japji, Kundalini Yoga at 4 a.m., and chanting and meditation from 4:40 a.m. to 5:50 a.m. Sadhana continues at Guru Ram Das Ashram with the Kirtan program 7 days a week.
Saturday and Sunday mornings offer a variation on the weekday schedule.
The Saturday morning special service "Bhog Ceremony" includes a slightly longer kirtan program ending at 7:00 a.m., followed by Guru ka Langar (community meal/breakfast).
On Sunday mornings, a long-standing tradition of singing Shabad Hazare (Mayraa Man Lochai), the shabad for never being separated from your loved ones or the Guru, is led by Shakti Parwa Kaur Khalsa, whom we lovingly call the "mother of 3HO," and Kirtan Singh Khalsa. This program ends around 7 a.m.
The Kirtan program begins at 10 a.m. followed by Gurdwara services and Guru ka Langar at 12:30 p.m.
Kirtan program honoring the Akal Takhat Martyrdom followed by "Bring a Dish, Make a Wish" Langar (except on Sundays when the program starts at 10 a.m.)
In the Aquarian Age, you don’t pray, you ask God to pray for you. Tell God, ‘Lord pray for me that I should be as infinite as you are. Make me as bright, bountiful, beautiful as You, oh Lord. Give me the power of love to serve. Let me know to serve myself. Let my touch heal. Let my sight create miracles. Where I exist and pass, let there be nothing but the enlightened dance of Your Grace.’
